• Conducting crash simulations, carrying out robustness analysis in Crashworthiness.

• Simulated around 150 different material and geometric combinations of automotive parts joined by resistance welding to derive the strengths in different crash simulation loading scenarios with 96% accuracy as a researcher in Crashworthiness. • Successfully automized the whole process of simulation, derivation of stiffness, analyses, optimization and comparison with experiments to optimize the prediction quality of the FE model.

• Using Python scripts in Abaqus, I designed and constructed 3 and 5 way crossing stiffeners of an aircraft fuselage, conducted material analysis and optimized meshing, which are currently being used by Airbus in Stade for research purposes. Optimized them to include complex cross section geometry and non-uniform geometry as well with a smooth and continuous cross section.

• Building non-linear projection based Reduced Order Models (ROMs) with the help of an autoencoder for the non linear mapping resulting in significantly lower simulation time without losing accuracy to optimize and accelerate crash simulations of automotive parts.

• Identified and optimized parameters such as laser power, beam size and vector path, that impact the additive manufacturing process which reduced code run time by up to 70%. Subsequently expanded the code to include new functions and shapes such as circles, squares and triangles to 3D print, created a prototype to print via .STL for any arbitrary shape, hence increasing the scope of the project.

• Designed the piping of 2 projects with PDMS and Catia software, carried out Material Take-Off, stress analysis of vessels. • Successfully led a design team consisting of 5 design engineers for creating plot plans and equipment layouts. • I have contributed immensely into retrospective meetings which were bi-weekly meetings to discuss the progress made by my team, with a team of department heads and hence led to process improvements.

• Conducted various competitions such as CAD competition, Robowars, technical quizzes and various other workshops and Industrial Visits to industries such as Volkswagen and as a result, won the best student committee award among 12 other teams in that year. • Recruited and mentored successfully a team of junior members of SAE, which were leading the team in the next year.

• Publicised events such as Robowars, Treasure hunt, Engineering quiz, Marathon and many more in and around Mumbai region which attracted a record number of participants that year as compared to previous years. • Helped me in building good communication skills and team work as I had to constantly follow the instructions from the department heads and communicate it smoothly to the students and spread the word around in other colleges to attract more participants.

Modelling of Crack Initiation and Propagation in Fiber-Reinforced Composites (FRCs) using eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM). Main tasks: Manufacturing of FRC specimens, conducting experiments on them, carrying out simulations in ABAQUS via python scripting. Evaluation of results was complex due to many different factors involved such as unidirectional fibers, transversal isotropy, XFEM and local material orientation but the results of simulation were good and error percentage was approx. 5%

Finite Element Analysis, Theory and design of Machine, Mateiral Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Basic Electronics and Industrial Engineering and Management Apart from academics, I was involved in Society of Automotive Engineers, University Festival team, National Service Scheme, participated in various competitions such as Robowars, CAD competition, technical quizzes, software courses, and made projects such as solar powered fully automatic bottle filling machine, elliptical trammel.

Activities and Societies: Apart from academic, I was marketing head of the college festival, the captain of winning cricket team in the inter-college tournament, and made few mini projects and presentations.
