Job description: Support technical projects that are in production, support analysis of customer requirements and redesign electrical modules, verification of electrical modules and electronic components; Identify root cause of problems, Support colleagues’ projects when overload like: redesigns, components validation. Participate in the creation process of problem solving documents (A3 and 8D).

I work in collaboration with a Ph.D. engineer and with an international team in order to design power supplies and communication interfaces to be used by internal costumers/projects. I am responsible to benchmark switch mode power supply from suppliers, create schematics, supervise PCB layout design, collaborate to design the control loop and test the final design; furthermore deliver software a so-called bring-up software to test new modules or modules been used in projects.

I conducted three undergraduate courses: C Programming Language for Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems Design and Digital Electronics, for these courses I had the responsibility to designed homework, practices, exams and performed grading at the end of each course.

As an associate professor help to developed laboratory practices, organize laboratory equipment and material. In addition, advised students to develop their skills necessary to complete the laboratory practice. Meanwhile I started to develop my teaching skills. Laboratory courses: Microcontrollers and C Programming Language and Embedded Systems Design.

• Developed an autopilot computer board for Autonomous Aerial Vehicle in indoors applications, non navigation system was included due to complex requirements of the product, requirement that are out of my expertise areas and my limited amount of funds. Skills developed during this project where electronic design, layout/PCB design, software architecture design, firmware design, algorithms for sensors implementation and control systems implementation. Two fully workable prototypes were build.

Design and development of a complete embedded system requested by Lumino Company, a digital power meter with power consumption alarm. Due to the extensive work of this project I will mention that I design and developed the hardware and the software for this system to meet my client’s requirements and collaborated with my client to fulfill mechanical specifications. Note this project was designed to meet some UL standards, never tested.

Braille Translator Hardware development section for a prototype: Braille translator, digital books to Braille. In collaboration with Nacuri Company. Embedded Hardware stages designed: Power Supplies, Microcontroller support environment, USB physical layer, Sensor and Power driver to control coils. Direct work with Embedded software engineer from Nacuri to complete the prototype.

Participation in the development process of an embedded system to control an Intelligent Power Electronic Transformer for a range from 7 to 15 KVA for PROLEC GE Company. To be more specific, I started to work directly in the design of the software architecture then development of software. In parallel, I helped to design the embedded electronics and the power electronics of the system, also the validation and testing of the prototype at Prolec’s facilities.

Developed a low-level Multi-Drop Bus “MDB” communication protocol driver for a MCF51CN128 “ColdFire” V1 microcontroller. For this development I created a basic prototype system that connected the microcontroller’s evaluation board to a coin changer in order to implement the driver. For this task I was supervised by the product engineer and was first interaction with multi-discipline team.
