I was in charge of the integration of all commercial activities. Turnover of €90+M. Total number of employees in Commercial was 152. I acted as a key member of the leadership team (Board), including legal responsibilities. Implementation of operational functions across various markets, including Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Spain, Poland, and China.
I lead the business activities of Merck's Pharmaceutical Business in Korea with an annual turnover worth € 78M and 133 pharma employees, whilst reporting directly to the Head of APAC.
I oversaw the execution of overall legal and business activities and the Pharma P&L Netherlands and since 2014 for Belgium valued at €40M Biotech Sales and €53M for Belgium, managing a total Pharma headcount of 45 members within Netherlands and 50 within Belgium. Total legal responsibility for 8 legal entities and 500 people
I was in charge of the entire Pharma Business activities of Merck Serono in a region called ‘Intercontinental’ across Russia (plus CIS), Middle East, and Africa (later called EMEA) along with P&L responsibility for €220M sales. I directed and efficiently managed 11 direct reports, including 6 GM’s or Regional Managers with addition of 5 support over a total region of more than 500. Managed overall restructure of Near and Middle East through development of a ‘hub-structure’ across Dubai and Tunis.
